Final Reflection

The revision process for this project was as easy as doing the project. I revised everything that Ms.Kk suggested me to fix up and change. Starting from project one I first revised my Academic artifact reflection, when revising this reflection I let someone read over it and grammar check because grammar was the number one thing Ms.Kk advised me to change. After using that technique for my academic artifact I used that same processes when revising both my professional and personal artifact reflection. For project two how I went about revising was basically using the same process that I used in project one. The process was some what different beings that with this project I had to conduct an interview. This project was more time consuming, I first listen to the audio that I recorded during my interview wrote everything that I felt needed to be in the Q&A style article. After listening to the audio the first time I then listened to the audio again to make sure I caught everything that was important. I did that process before turning in my article. After turning in the article I didn’t get any bad feedback but on my interview reflection I had some grammar errors. Using the same technique I used to fix my grammar errors in project one is what I did in project two. For the final project which is project three I was late turning in my draft of my genre composition. Ms.Kk advise me to turn it in even though it wasn’t for a grade being that its just a draft so I can get some feedback and change anything if needed. Project three was far most the easiest to me so I didn’t think anything needed to revised unless its basic grammar errors. I went through each project with a different process because that’s what I felt was the proper thing to do when revising.

I learned a lot of new things in ENC 1101. Starting from the first week when I found out that an artifact isn’t always something that’s fossil age. I also learned composing isn’t always writing, composing can be anything that you made or “compose” yourself. Learning that I composes on an everyday bases was something new and fun to know. I find every new thing that I learned in this class valuable because It’s something that I can take with me through my life, meaning that it isn’t something that I can only use in a classroom. Having new valuable life lessons is always important and something I look forward to when I classroom, because I feel that school should not only educate us academic wise but also in a real world perspective.

I can take a lot from this class and apply to other future context such as genre, rhetorical appeals, composing and artifacts. Each one of these terms I can use in the future in many different ways. Genre is something I see on an everyday basis and whenever I’m composing I’m always composing in a genre so these two things are always connecting. Composing is also connected to rhetorical appeals and these rhetorical appeals is what catches the audience eye that I plan on composing for. With out rhetorical appeals there isn’t really no connection with my audience. Artifacts can be connected to all three of the terms because an artifact is any old composing that I have done and since composing is connected with rhetorical appeals and genre that means artifacts is as well. All these is something that I can use or apply in future context because with me furthering my education at The Florida State University I know that these terms will come up again and not only here but also in a real life scenario.

My ideas about writing has change so much since the beginning of the semester. How so is because, in the beginning of the semester really my whole school career I have disliked writing because it’s always something that’s forced upon me with a boring topic. In the beginning of the semester I didn’t think my perspective of writing would change once I found out that we would be writing about artifacts and my composing process. These are the boring topics that I was talking about. When writing I like to write as if I’m talking to someone or at least write about something that interest me. Moving on throughout the semester and learning more about the terms and what our writing will consist of in this class made me see writing in a whole different way. Writing reflection change my perspective in a major way because reflection is just like me having a one on one conversation and this is the writing style that I’m interested in. So for the most part writing in this class helped me realized that there are more things to composing moreover writing. The best project to me was project two, because I really liked how I composed the Q&A style article about my interview with Dr. Starke. The set up of this article wasn’t really easy but it was a fun learning process. Not only did I compose something in a different genre then normal I also went a new route in composing with my recording of the interview. The worst project to me would be project three  because it didn’t turn out how I imagine it to be. Word didn’t give me the ability to change the brochure background or add pictures to the background so the genre really doesn’t match my composition. Other than that big problem I enjoyed conducting all my projects.

If I had another week to revise anything I would start off with my brochure. Even though I liked my brochure I wish that it match that content. I would change the brochure background and add more pictures so that it can catch my audience attention rather than being just informative. I would also revise my journals. Basically just going back and doing a grammar check on the two journals I decided to add to my E-portfolio because I never thought to revise or grammar check my journals. Other than these things I feel that my project is in good standing with all the necessary needs for my E-portfolio.
