When I found out that what we would be writing about in my ENC1101 class was artifacts I was just shock. When I thought of artifacts I thought of museums, dinosaurs you know old fossils and things that have been gone from the earth for many long years. I wouldn’t have never guess artifacts could be something that I made my self, something that I can basically look back at and actually describe and explain what it is and why. Looking back on when I first start searching for my three artifacts I remember struggling on finding one to fit each category.  I didn’t know the options that I had to choose from neither the things I could use, so when we discuss in class artifacts and made a list for each category It gave me a better perspective.

Each artifact was different in its own way when finding and writing about them. The educational artifact was the easiest, the professional artifact was the most fun and the personal artifact was somewhat hard to explain but easy to choose. The first artifact which was education or school related was the easiest because it was something that was either graded or done in school which wasn’t hard to find being that I have been in school for twelve years. The artifact I choose was my math research project. The reason is because it was my last writing assignment which means it was my most recent assignment. I knew that this artifact would be easy to explain and write about when it came to do with the three hundred word response. Unlike everyone else in class my favorite artifact was the professional one, because I have my own social media page for my custom sneaks business “Rawlaces” and it fit right into the professional category. Starting my business Rawlaces wasn’t something I had plan it was really just out the blue so I knew describing this in my response would be fun and easier to explain rather than my first thoughts to use for this artifact. In the beginning choosing my professional artifact I was uncertain because I was just thinking about a resume or my old job application and these are somethings I didn’t want to use because I knew it would be hard for me to give a big explantion on what the artifact was and why I picked it. I instantly thought about my Instagram page for Rawlaces because it’s something that I love and had fun doing I could give a broad explanation on the artifact. The last artifact which was personal was somewhat  hard and easy because I knew right off the bat what I could use for the personal artifact but I didn’t know how I could explain it and describe it as an artifact. My personal artifact which was a banner I made for my graduation party was easy to pick because it was the most recent thing I made for my personal behalf. Explaining it though wasn’t so easy because it wasn’t really something I could explain all I thought I could say was that it’s a banner I made to celebrate me graduating. After thinking about the banner I realize I could describe each picture on the banner and how it was significant part of my graduating year. After describing each picture in the response I realize that each picture was an artifact inside a big artifact which gave the banner(the big artifact) a more significant meaning. So the project as a whole wasn’t actually as hard as I thought it would, it turned out being something fun an interesting to write about.
